Waratah Park truly is a sanctuary in the real meaning of the word, and offers a haven to many rare and endangered species from the Sydney region. School students can:
-Explore the diversity of Sydney’s native wildlife in its natural bushland setting
-Encounter kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, emus and some rare and endangered species not seen in the wild anywhere else in Australia.
Waratah Park provides an educational resource that is unique in the Sydney area. With the assistance of our experienced staff, class teachers can have access to the exceptional natural resources within the park, which can be used to provide specific field work and educational experiences for students of all ages and learning abilities.
Waratah Park offers unique opportunities to address a variety of learning outcomes and indicators in Key Learning Areas of the Board of Studies Curriculum.
